MOSES LAKE — The Hagadone Corporation announced Friday the selection of the Columbia Basin Herald’s new publisher, Caralyn Bess.

Bess replaces Kent Eymann, the Herald’s interim publisher. Her first day at work in Moses Lake is Dec. 4.

Bess’ publishing experience includes working as vice president of advertising for tronc (formerly Tribune Publishing) and as director of advertising for Gatehouse Media.

Her career spans more than 30 years in the media industry.

She attributes much of her success to her true passion for helping people, small business owners, employees, colleagues and community organizations succeed.

Bess and her husband David will move from their home in Williamsburg, Va. to Moses Lake in December.
