MOSES LAKE — It’s beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas.

Especially when downtown is decked out in lights and decorations and the trees along Third Avenue are all lit up for the season. The annual lighting event takes place on Saturday, Nov. 11.

“We get excited for the holidays downtown, shopping our local merchants,” said Michaelle Boetger, the executive director of the Moses Lake Business Association. “We’ve got so much to offer.”

The festivities on Saturday start at 4 p.m. with music from local musician Rylie Franks and DanceFX, followed at 5 p.m. when the Christmas lights are all turned on.

According to Boetger, the time before Christmas is the perfect time to shop with local retailers and small businesses.
