WARDEN — A Moses Lake man is facing charges after he was reportedly involved in a collision that left two people injured over the weekend.

About 10:25 p.m. Sunday night Jose Medina Jimenez, 25, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2005 Ford Expedition west on state Route 170, about two miles west of Warden, when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The Expedition rolled and came to a rest on the westbound shoulder on its wheels, according to the Washington State Patrol.

An unidentified female, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, was seriously injured and airlifted from the scene to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. Another passenger, identified as Jesus Encino Valdez, 26, of Moses Lake, was also injured and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. Medina Jimenez was not injured.

The patrol reports the cause of the collision was Medina Jimenez driving too fast for conditions and driving while impaired. Grant County Jail records indicate Medina Jimenez was booked into jail on two counts of vehicular assault.
