Mary J. Higgins went home to be with her Lord on Oct. 17, 2017. She was born Jan. 25, 1929 to Adrian and Ruth (Meins) Torrey in Tacoma, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Ruth, Vern, Harry and Donald and by her loving husband Warren E. Higgins.

She is survived by her son Daniel (Marissa) Babcock of Whidbey Island, Wash., son Michael (Marianne) Babcock of Phoenix, Ariz., daughter Joy (Fred) Frankland of Temecula, Calif., son Douglas (Bonnie) Babcock of Renton, Wash., daughter Robin Higgins (Daniel) of Moses Lake, Wash., 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and her special friend and companion Chester Baze of Moses Lake, Wash.

Mary was loved by everyone who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held in the summer with her family and close friends.
