Podiatrist Dr. Arezou Amidi joins Samaritan Healthcare

MOSES LAKE — Samaritan Healthcare is pleased to announce that Dr. Arezou Amidi, podiatrist, has joined its healthcare team. By adding Dr. Amidi’s podiatry services to its in-house staff, Samaritan continues to expand patient access to podiatry care and treatment to Moses Lake and the Columbia Basin.

Dr. Amidi specializes in treating trauma of the foot, ankle, and lower leg, fractures, sports injuries, wound care, diabetic complications, prescription orthotics, and more.

“I chose podiatry because it is more focused than other specialized areas of medicine,” said Dr. Amidi. “Patients often don’t realize that foot or ankle problems can affect posture, ligament stabilization, and other issues.”

Dr. Amidi is board-certified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She earned her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology at the University of California in San Diego and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University’s Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. She was a co-chief resident at Advocate Illinois Masonic Podiatric Residency Program in Chicago and also completed specialized fellowship training on foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction.

Dr. Amidi’s parents were both doctors, so she grew up understanding what it means to bring healing to others.

“I appreciate being able to spend time with a patient and really learn what their needs are,” she said. “Above all, I want to sincerely care for my patients so they have the best possibility to achieve success in healing.”
