HYAK — If you have plans to head over to the western part of the state this Memorial Day weekend, you might want to pencil in a little bit of extra travel time.
The state Department of Transportation (DOT) is suspending work on Snoqualmie Pass on Interstate 90 over the weekend, but travelers will still see lane restrictions in place between the summit of Snoqualmie Pass and North Bend. The DOT recommends travelers plan for at least an hour, or more, of additional travel time.
The DOT states drivers will also see delays and congestion between Cle Elum and Ellensburg due to an increase in traffic volumes.
