Alumni Association offers lots of opportunity to serve

| May 25, 2017 3:00 AM

The Moses Lake Alumni Association (MLAA) has been quietly serving Moses Lake graduates for 10 years. Since 2007, the MLAA has provided $142,900 in scholarships to 140 students who attended school in Moses Lake. The MLAA welcomes anyone who would like to help with this scholarship program. Application forms to join are available on the Moses Lake School District website under Community: www.moseslakeschools.org/pages/MLSD/Community/Alumni_Association_and_Reunion.

Donations are tax-deductible and 100 percent of all donations, beyond the $5 annual dues, go straight to providing scholarships for Moses Lake graduates.

We also would like to extend an invitation for you to help in the process. The support we have received from Moses Lake alumni has been very rewarding and encouraging; however, we need more board members and volunteers. MLAA meetings are only held six months of the year, volunteers are always welcome, the time commitment is minimal and the rewards of helping very fulfilling. You do not have to be an alumnus of Moses Lake schools to be a member, just someone that is willing to help, serve and donate. If this is something you would like to help with and become part of, please contact us by sending your application form and annual dues of $5 to: Moses Lake Alumni Association, PO Box 1446, Moses Lake, WA 98837.

If you are interested in a scholarship, scholarship applications are due from the students the end of February. Copies of the application are available at the high school, BBCC and on the Moses Lake School District website under Community, same as above.

Moses Lake’s heritage is being formed by those who care today. If you have any questions I would love to answer them.
