Citywide cleanup makes a difference

| May 11, 2017 4:00 AM

Thank you to all of the volunteers who took time out of their busy weekend to help with this past Saturday’s Vision 2020 Citywide cleanup. Your highly visible work boosts the pride that we all have in our beautiful city, and is a sign of a community that cares. This year marks the 17th year of the cleanup and would not be possible without the help of many supporting businesses and agencies. Special thanks goes out to all of our garbage bag sponsors/providers, Skaug Brothers Ace Hardware, Norco, Walgreens, Monroe House, Home Depot, Penhallurick’s True Value, Frontier Title and Lowe’s. The Porterhouse Steakhouse in Moses Lake not only provided a location for all to gather and prepare route assignments prior to the cleanup, but also provided a huge feast for all of our volunteers. Walmart, Grocery Outlet, Fran’s Snyder’s Bakery and Rich Victor of Frito Lay helped with food and drink for the barbecue. Special thanks to the City of Moses Lake, Lakeside Disposal, the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, KBSN/KDRM, the Columbia Basin Herald and iFiber. Vision 2020 urges all citizens to continue to clean up your neighborhoods and then maintain a litter free environment. Finally, enjoy a clean community.
