Patsy R. Rinker

Patsy R. Rinker, 82, a longtime resident of Othello, Wash. passed away May 3, 2017 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Wash. She was born in Sallisaw, Okla. on Sept. 14, 1934 to parents William Poe Young and Ella Clementine Gober. She was the youngest of six children and the last to make her trip to heaven.

She was married to Douglas Rinker on March 28, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nev. They enjoyed 19 years of marriage, until Doug passed away on July 19, 1999. Patsy was a hard worker and held many positions in the food service and real estate management industries to help raise and support her children. She was an active member in both the Moose and Eagles Lodges, participating in numerous fund raising activities that benefited the community, including helping to raise funds for the fire department’s jaws of life. She had a passion for reading, spending time with friends, playing cards, and just enjoying the simple life. She was a humorous, determined woman, quick witted, and fun to be around. She will be dearly missed.

She was survived by her children John (Callie) Long of Mattawa, Wash., H. Steve Kilpatrick of Bakersfield, Calif., and Pamela Sue (Kenneth) Peters of Richland, Wash. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren to cherish her loving memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her children Richard Kilpatrick and Gary Kilpatrick.
