Diabetes prevention classes available

| March 29, 2017 4:00 AM

MOSES LAKE — The Grant/Adams County WSU extension office will be offering Diabetes Prevention Program classes beginning March 30. The classes are a year-long program and will meet at 5:30 p.m. weekly for three months, then twice a month for three months, and finally monthly for six months.

The classes will be led by a lifestyle coach from the National Centers for Disease Control and will take place at the Grant/Adams County extension office, 1525 Wheeler Rd., Moses Lake. A limited number of scholarships are available for those whose insurance does not cover the classes.

Pre-registration before March 30 is necessary to allow for screening, according to Janelle Todaro of the WSU Extension.

Anyone wanting more information can call the Grant/Adams WSU Extension at 506-765-2160, ext. 4364.
