Lou Ella Prickett March 1, 1927 - February 24, 2017

| March 24, 2017 1:00 AM

Lou Ella Prickett joined the heavenly father on February 24, 2017. She was born in Gering, Neb. in 1927. In 1942 she married the love of her life Lewis Prickett. The two raised their family in Nebraska living in Lyman, Haysprings, and Lead.

In 1968, Lewis and Lou set out west with the family to make a homestead in the Columbia Basin, first living in Moses Lake and then moving to Othello. Lou worked many years for Carnation, eventually retiring only to manage the Parkview apartments for several years before really retiring. Lou had many passions for life. She loved to bowl, play bingo and cards, but the thing she enjoyed the most was being a loving family woman to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest passion in life was cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children Roger Prickett of Othello, Wash., Patricia (Prickett) Seabaugh of Albany, Ore., Carmen (Prickett) Calzadillas of Newport, Wash. and Tim Prickett of Newport, Wash. She also leaves behind several grandchildren Scott Lamm, Chasity (Prickett) Krebs, Michelle Lamm  John Calzadillas, Robbie Calzadillas and numerous great grandchildren. Lou was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Prickett, mother Nettie (Reed) Barger and father Thomas Edward Barger, twin brother Louis Barger, brother Harold Barger, sisters Zeta (Barger) Slagel and Margarita (Barger) Tipton and grandson Shawn Prickett.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Nazarene Church in Othello, Wash. In lieu of cards and flowers the family requests donations be made to the church.
