SUMMARY PUBLICATION AN ORDINANCE AMENDING OTHELLO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 5.08.190 OF CHAPTER 5.08 ENTITLED "SOLID WASTE AND REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL" In accordance with RCW 35A.12.160, the following is a summary of Othello Ordinance No. 1489, passed by the Othello City Council and approved by Mayor Shawn R. Logan on the 13th day of March, 2017. The full text may be mailed, free of charge, to any person requesting a copy. SUMMARY This ordinance amends Othello Municipal Code Sections 5.08.190, of Chapter 5.08 entitled "Solid Waste and Refuse Collection and Disposal" and sets new rates for compacted 20 and 25 yard drop boxes. Notice of Public Hearing City of Othello - City Council Retooling Our Code & Critical Areas Ordinance Update Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Othello will be holding a public hearing on Monday, April 3, 2017 to consider changes to the Othello Municipal Code including the update of the Critical Areas Ordinances. Othello's critical areas codes include: Frequently flooded areas; Geologically hazardous areas; Wetlands; Critical aquifer recharge areas; Fish and wildlife conservation areas. The Council will consider all public testimony as they consider making changes to the Code. Several public meetings have been held before the Planning Commission who are recommending the Council accept the proposed updates. The applicant has requested review for the division of approximately 20.3 acres into 94 residential lots in the R-4 zoning district.
