EPHRATA — A Ephrata man accused of murdering his 82-year-old landlord is one step closer to learning his fate, as the prosecution and defense presented their closing arguments in his murder trial this week.
Chad Bennett, 27, of Ephrata, is accused of murdering Lucille Moore in September 2014.
A previous trial in the case resulted in a hung jury and a mistrial was declared after a unanimous decision could not be reached by the jury.
The second trial, which began in mid-February, is set to be handed off to the jury for deliberations either today or tomorrow.
