NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION ADAMS COUNTY, WASHINGTON April 25, 2017 Legal Notice NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Adams County, Washington, in the various precincts, there will be held a Special Election for the purpose of voting on local district propositions. The following measure will be presented to the voters: Proposition 1 Submitted by Warden School District No. 146-161 Resolution No. 01-16-17 Bonds to Renovate and Construct School Facilities The Board of Directors of Warden School District No. 146-161 adopted Resolution No. 01-16-17, concerning a proposition to relieve overcrowding and improve safety and infrastructure. This proposition would authorize the District to: renovate and expand Warden Elementary School (including modernizing lighting, mechanical and other outdated systems, and constructing additional classrooms); construct a new high/middle school gymnasium and commons area that will include music and wrestling rooms, lunch space, classroom and secure entrance; issue no more than $14,262,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 20 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution No. 01-16-17. Voter Registration Deadlines: The last date to register online, through the mail at the address listed below, transfer or update an existing registration is Monday, March 27th.
