MOSES LAKE — A man who was wanted by the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) was arrested in Moses Lake Friday.

The KPD was searching for 29-year-old Brian Massey on charges of escape from community custody by the Washington Department of Corrections and for failure to appear to a hearing in Franklin County. His original charges were for possession of a controlled substance and residential burglary.

Massey, who has ties to the Moses Lake area and previously lived in Soap Lake, was found in the 1000 block of West Marina Drive about 9:45 a.m. Friday morning and taken into custody.

The Moses Lake Police Department previously received word that Massey was in the area last Wednesday, when a witness reported seeing him walking in the city. The sighting was corroborated after police were able to obtain video surveillance that reportedly showed Massey walking south on South Monroe Street.
