NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON TUESDAY, APRIL 25, 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Grant County, State of Washington, there will be held a Special Election for the voters of Warden School District No. 146-161 Proposition No. 1 for the purpose of a Bond to Renovate and Construct School Facilities. WARDEN SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 146-161 PROPOSITION NO. 1 BONDS TO RENOVATE AND CONSTRUCT SCHOOL FACILITIES The Board of Directors of Warden School District No. 146-161 adopted Resolution No. 01-16-17, concerning a proposition to relieve overcrowding and improve safety and infrastructure. This proposition would authorize the District to: renovate and expand Warden Elementary School (including modernizing lighting, mechanical and other outdated systems, and constructing additional classrooms); construct a new high/middle school gymnasium and commons area that will include music and wrestling rooms, lunch space, classroom and secure entrance; issue no more than $14,262,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 20 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution No. 01-16-17. Grant Integrated Services in the amount of $1,274,974.00 to receive funding from the North Central Washington Behavioral Health (NCWBH) to fund the WISe program for treatment of children with emotional and behavioral disorder and their families. Grant Integrated Services in the amount of $185,000.00 to receive funding from the North Central Washington Behavioral Health (NCWBH) to fund their Mobile Outreach Team to enhance their current services by providing county outreach services during evenings and weekend. Auditor's Office - Accounting Division in the amount of $137,307.00 for the County Current Expense - Operating Transfers Fund (001.142) for the Central Services Department due to an error when budgeting the 2017 budget. This amount was budgeted in the wrong account. Central Services Department in the amount of $3,465.69 to pay retainage to Joe's Excavation for a Juvenile Court and Youth Services parking lot project completed in 2016. 2017 MOSES LAKE AQUATIC TREATMENTS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (With MLIRD Option to Extend for Three Years) The Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District (MLIRD) respectfully requests cost proposals to survey and treat portions of Moses Lake. This effort will inventory aquatic plants/weeds by species and make recommendations for a prioritized treatment plan for species detrimental to water quality. Contractor must have all required licenses for professional work of this nature in Washington State, plus experience & qualifications in Alum Treatments/Application to be considered. Aquatic Plant/Weed/Algae project would include the following: Survey work: Must be consistent with WA State DOE Aquatic Plant Sampling Protocols;and Contractor must demonstrate previous experience identifying aquatic plants/weeds in similar waters & climates. It is preferred that survey/application personnel be familiar with Moses Lake and Moses Lake water bathymetry. Past aquatic plant/weed/algae treatment reports are available upon request. Treatment work: MLIRD reserves the right to make the final determination of treatment locations & usage.
