ROYAL CITY — Two Royal City residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Royal City Wednesday.

About 12:20 p.m. Jackson Noftle, 21, of Royal City, was traveling south on Road G Southwest in Royal City in a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck, and stopped at the state Route 26 intersection. Noftle reportedly entered the intersection and collided with a 2014 Dodge Challenger driven by Cynthia Bartlett, 46, of Royal City, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Bartlett was injured and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. Bartlett’s passenger, Griselda Munter, 45, Royal City, received serious injuries and was airlifted via LifeFlight helicopter to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland for treatment. Noftle was not injured.

Both of the vehicles involved sustained reportable damages. The patrol reports Noftle was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
