Fire damages Moses Lake house

Cheryl Schweizer/Columbia Basin Herald A Moses Lake home was heavily damaged in a fire reported about 9 p.m. Monday. The garage at the residence at 315 State St. was already engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived, said Derek Beach of the Moses Lake Fire Department. The cause is still under investigation. The garage was damaged by fire, and the rest of the house suffered smoke and water damage, he said. Firefighters were on the scene until about midnight.
