March 9

A student at Chief Moses Middle School was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Report of a burglary at a residence in the 2200 block of West Basin Street. A total of $6,500 worth of items were stolen in the burglary.

A juvenile was warned about littering in the 1500 block of South Pioneer Way.

A woman was caught attempting to steal a bottle of liquor from Safeway. The suspect ditched the bottle before leaving the store. The business requested the woman be permanently trespassed from their store when contacted.

A woman reported an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle in the parking lot at Safeway.

Report of money orders stolen out of two deposit boxes at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of East Craig Street.

Report of an unknown subject attempting to break into a business in the 1000 block of West Third Avenue. The subject was gone when police arrived. No damage was observed at the building by police.

A man was advised he was not permitted to camp inside the Moses Lake Post Office on West Third Avenue.

A man reported a subject harassing and threatening his daughter by text message.

Ten or more large pigs were reported running at large in the road, one of which charged the reporting party’s vehicle.

A female caller reported that a male assaulted her the night before at his home.

Two calves were reportedly found with their heads removed.

A female complainant reported that her friend’s ex-boyfriend, who was not supposed to be at that location, had tried to cut the gate with bold cutters.

A man reported that he went out to his truck and heard someone going through equipment and saw a flashlight.

Jeffrey Hammond, of Quincy, was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief.

Brittany Butterly, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest.

Ruth Nicholson, of Nespelem, was arrested on an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for DUI and first-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Shawn Entzel, of Royal City, was booked on a Department of Corrections order for arrest and detention.

Justin Reynolds, of Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court bench warrant for DUI.

John Cattin, of Entiat, was arrested on an outstanding GCDC warrant.

Efrain Madrid, of Quincy, was arrested on a DOC secretary's warrant.

Daniel Harrett, of Soap Lake, was booked on a DOC order.
