| March 10, 2017 2:00 AM

July 13, 1955 – March 6, 2017

With heavy hearts, we are saddened to announce that on March 6, Clarence Lee Estes Jr. passed away unexpectedly at his home. He is greatly missed by his family and friends who knew him and loved him.

Clarence was born on July 13, 1955 in Lodi, Calif. to Clarence and Betty. His siblings are Monica Estes, Betty Pulley, Malcom Estes, Brian Estes and Jewell Estes. At the age of 20, he married his other half, Charlotte D. Watson, and they remained married for nearly 41 years, up to his passing.

Anyone who met Lee would immediately be drawn by his welcoming personality, friendly demeanor, and generosity toward anyone in need. He could always be counted on if anyone ever needed a helping hand, and would always give a 110 percent no matter how tired or sick he might have been. To Lee, family was the most important thing in life, with one of his greatest pleasures being known as “Papa,” and enjoying family gatherings and outings with his numerous grandchildren. Lee owned and operated an orchard before finding his calling as a general contractor. He was an avid sportsman who loved to be by the lake fishing or in the mountains hunting.

He’s survived by his wife Charlotte, son John Snell, daughter April Zavala and her husband Eradio Zavala, daughter Angela Estes and her partner Contessa Medina, daughter Sue Ellen Estes and daughter Jennifer Estes; his grandchildren, nieces and nephews Anthony, Amanda, Samuel, Zachary, Matthew, Freddie, Christina, Talya, Alex, Aries, Adrian, Nicole, Nevaeh, Neya, Robert, Sidney, Jessica, Coty, Tianna, Jenell, Jayden, Shayla, Brianna, Chance, Nash, Max, Kaiden, Jaiden, Bruce, Tanya M, Michelle, Tanya A, Neal, Austin and LT; his mother, his siblings and extended family. He’s preceded in death by his father Clarence.

A Barbecue/Potluck Memorial celebrating his life will be held Tuesday the 14th (his 41st anniversary mark) starting at 2 p.m. for friends and family at his home. Lee has touched the hearts of so many people, it’s only fitting to celebrate his memory with good food, good music, and wonderful memories. Look forward to seeing you there. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory.
