1 injured in Moses Lake collision
MOSES LAKE — A Chehalis man was injured in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning after he reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a semi-truck.
About 6 a.m. William Anderson, 22, of Chehalis, was driving a 2005 Toyota Prius east on state Route 262, about nine miles south of Moses Lake, when the collision happened. The Prius reportedly struck a 2013 Kenworth semi-truck driven by Margarito Bernal, 47, of Moses Lake, that was heading south on state Route 17, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Anderson was injured and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake by ambulance for treatment. The patrol says the cause of the collision was Anderson’s inattention. Anderson was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
