| June 26, 2017 4:00 AM

MOSES LAKE — Lora Smart, 84, was identified as the victim from last week’s deadly house fire near Moses Lake.

Firefighters with Grant County Fire District No. 5 were dispatched to the fire in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive Northeast, near the Moses Lake Golf Course, about 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning. The house was already fully engulfed when crews arrived. Smart’s body was reportedly found inside the residence as firefighters were battling the blaze, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison determined Smart's death was a result of smoke inhalation.

“I was deeply saddened when I learned of this tragic fire,” Sheriff Tom Jones said. “Please join me by saying a prayer for Lora Smart’s loved ones.”
