MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was injured on Monday after the vehicle he was in was rear-ended in Moses Lake.

About 4:15 p.m. Kelly Carter, 67, of Moses Lake, was stopped for traffic on state Route 17, at Broadway Avenue in Moses Lake, in a 2014 Ford Fusion. That’s when his vehicle was reportedly rear-ended by a 2005 Kia Sportage driven by Jennifer Bergdahl, 38, of Warden, according to the Washington State Patrol.

One of Carter’s two passengers, Scott Carter, 36, of Moses Lake, was injured in the collision and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. Both vehicles involved in the collision sustained reportable damages.

The patrol reports Bergdahl was cited for following too close.
