Moses Lake drops two at home to West Valley
MOSES LAKE — For the second time in as many nights, Moses Lake could not contain West Valley’s offense.
West Valley swept Moses Lake 5-0 and 13-0 in six innings Wednesday at Larson Field a day after taking two in Yakima.
West Valley took advantage of five Moses Lake errors in the opener. Sawyer Jenks scattered nine hits in six innings for the Walleyes, who dropped to 1-11.
West Valley led 1-0 after three innings before tacking on two runs each in the fourth and fifth.
Chayton Fisk was 2-for-3 for the Walleyes.
Moses Lake hung with West Valley for the majority of the second game and only trailed 2-0 at the end of five innings. However, West Valley exploded for 11 runs in the sixth inning to pull away.
West Valley pounded 15 hits to Moses Lake’s two.
Spencer Froula led the visitors with four hits, two runs and three RBI. Froula also pitched a complete game with five strikeouts. In addition to Froula, West Valley had four other players with multiple runs batted in.
Tre Ramirez and Andrew Frey had one hit each for the Walleyes.

SELAH — Selah combined for 16 hits and swept Central Washington 10-0 and 10-2.
The Pepsi Pak moved to 6-0 in league play.
Cody Goodwin had an RBI single for the Spuds.
Central Washington hosts Selah today at 5:30 p.m.
