Thanks for a great powwow article
I would like to thank Rodney Harwood for his wonderfully informative and color picture-filled article on June 5 in the Columbia Basin Herald regarding the Soap Lake Powwow. I suspect it attracted many an eye for adults as well as teenagers looking for graduation news.
It was great to read something culturally accurate and positive about this family-oriented event. The pictures were great as well. Thanks for educational material in the paper that is accurate and informative on a fun-to-attend event. And since you were there you could see for yourself just how energetic and athletic the dancing and drumming actually is, as well as beautiful.
As a primary local contributor to assisting the Powwow this year, I appreciate your article and the research involved in putting it together in a literary way. Basin Life could use more of your writing.
