July 26, 1963 – July 25, 2017

Christopher James Villegas was born July 26, 1963 and passed away on July 25, 2017. He was 53 years old. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer this spring.

As a young boy in Warden, Wash., Chris was involved in the Boy Scouts and played a variety of sports throughout high school. He loved basketball, and continued to shoot hoops in the park for many years to come. Chris as a young man enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He walked all over the town of Warden and seemed to know all that was going on.

Chris struggled with schizophrenia for most of his life (late teens until his death). He had many friends and was always willing to give and share. Chris had a gentle caring heart and wanted to thank all of his friends and family and tell them all he loved them and wished them good luck.

Chris was the youngest of seven children and is survived by his parents Santos and Stella Villegas, Pasco, Wash.; brother Al Villegas, Oysterville, Wash.; sister Cecilia LeDoux, Sulphur, La.; sister Terri Thomsen, Richland, Wash.; sister Tina Baynes, Sisters, Ore.; brother Peter Villegas, Warden, Wash. and sister Nacha Fleming, Pasco, Wash.

Chris is finally at peace with his God. We love him and will miss him.

There will be a graveside service at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Warden, Wash. at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.
