COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus, Ohio was full of auctioneers from all over the world last week at the annual National Auctioneer’s Convention. Connell’s Chantel Kimball, 30, a third generation auctioneer, took home first runner-up in the International Auctioneer’s Championship Women’s Division on July 14. She made it into the Top 7 female finalists after the prelim round and completed an interview consisting of three questions and a final round of bid-calling.

In the two divisions 73 men and 20 women competed for the right to be known as the one of the best auction professionals in the world. Chantel took home second runner up last year in Grand Rapids, Mich. His dad, C.D. “Butch” Booker, is a past International Auctioneer Champion from 2008.
