Vehicles don't belong on the sidewalk

| July 27, 2017 4:00 AM

Grant County and the City of Moses Lake need to make a law to stop vehicles from parking on sidewalks. When citizens are forced to walk in the road to avoid vehicles parked on sidewalks, it becomes unsafe for citizens. In my hometown in Florida, it’s a $250 fine to park your vehicle on the sidewalk. It’s local government’s responsibility to keep its citizens safe. When I become mayor of Moses Lake there will be no more parking on sidewalks and there will be no more non-disabled people parking in reserved disabled spots. It’s time for government to stop talking and start working for its citizens. And that I will do when I become Moses Lake mayor or city manager.
