Booker Auction Company's auctioneers do well in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus, Ohio was full of auctioneers from all over the world last week at the annual National Auctioneers Convention. Connell’s Chantel Kimball, 30, a third-generation auctioneer, took home first runner-up in the International Auctioneers Championship Women’s Division on July 14. She made it into the Top 7 female finalists after the prelim round and completed an interview consisting of three questions and a final round of bid-calling.

In the two divisions 73 men and 20 women competed for the right to be known as the one of the best auction professionals in the world. Chantel took home second runner up last year in Grand Rapids, Mich. Cotton Booker, 15 of Colfax, also a third-generation auctioneer, competed in the International Junior Auctioneers Championship and had a very strong run placing fourth. His dad, C.D. “Butch” Booker, is a past International Auctioneer Champion from 2008.

Daxton Rettig, 7, of Pasco, is a fourth-generation auctioneer and participated in the annual National Auctioneers Foundation Kids auction as an auctioneer and bid assistant, selling toys to friends and family.

Daxton’s mom, Camille Booker, is a past International Auctioneer Champion from 2011. Both the IAC and IJAC were conducted as part of the NAA’s 68th Annual International Auctioneers Conference and Show, which took place in Columbus. Booker Auction Company is headquartered in Eltopia, and been doing business in the Inland Northwest for the past 35 years. They specialize in marketing equipment, real estate, fundraisers and appraisals.
