John Joseph Fina

| July 26, 2017 3:00 AM

February 6, 1945 – July 19, 2017

Dr. John Joseph Fina left this world with his daughter, son in law, and grandson by his side, to be with his Lord and Savior, on July 19, 2017, after a short and courageous two-month battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 6, 1945 in Buffalo, New York to John and Adeline Fina.

John was an amazing doctor, having graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and completed his residency at Millard Fillmore in Williamsville, N.Y. His practice began in Buffalo and then continued in Arkansas, Montana, and Seattle. Wherever he went, patients flocked to him for his compassion, knowledge and bedside manner. John never gave up on his patients and was always their greatest advocate.

John is survived by his wife of 43 years Claudia, son George Fina and his daughter Alexandria, daughter Nicole (Ian) Eccles and their five children Samantha, Oliver, Gianna and his “blue collar guys” Charlie and Sullivan, and three great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his three siblings Frank, Anna and Anne Marie and his parents.

A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. on July 28 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Moses Lake, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
