OPD needs help in locating elusive suspect

Othello Police Department is on the lookout for Uriel Vasquez-Maldonado who is wanted for eluding law enforcement and abandoning a white sedan after running over a concrete curb and crashing into a chain link fence.

An OPD officer was pursuing Vasquez-Maldonado around midnight July 8 near South First and East Columbia Street, when said vehicle left the road and came to rest at the fence. Before the officer was able to catch up to him, Vasquez-Maldonado reportedly got out of the car and fled the scene on foot.
