MOSES LAKE — Central Washington dropped a pair of games to the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak, making up a doubleheader lost to rain earlier in the season.

The Spuds let a 1-1 tie get away in the first game and lost 6-1. The Pepsi Pak completed the sweep with a 13-2 win in the nightcap.

After Yakima Valley opened up a 1-0 lead, Central Washington was able to tie the game when Kameron Huberdeau was able to score when Cade Tunstall hit into a fielder’s choice.

However, the tie was short-lived as Yakima Valley scored four runs in the fourth inning. Xander Orejudos began the rally with a lead-off double.

Michael Harrington was 3-for-3 for the Spuds.

The Spuds managed just one run on eight hits.

Yakima Valley broke open a close second game with five runs in the fifth inning.

Wade Visker and Carter Stout had one RBI each for the Spuds.

Cameron Duke had the Spuds’ lone hit.

Central Washington closes the regular season today with a road doubleheader at Twin City.
