November 23, 1929 – July 8, 2017

Our beautiful mother, Betty Jeanne Teslow, 87, passed away July 8, 2017 at Central Washington Hospital. Betty was born in Kellogg, Idaho November 23, 1929 where she would later marry her husband of 67 years, Robert (Bob) Teslow. Bob and Betty settled in Moses Lake raising their two daughters, Robyn and Cindy. Betty “mom” loved her daughters beyond limits and had special relationships with her sons-in-law Dick Hansen and Randy Fish, whom she appreciated so much.

Over the years Mom had many interests, from riding horses and shooting guns in her youth to sewing, cooking and crocheting as a young wife. Bowling, camping, gambling and watching her beloved Raiders play football (of course before the Seahawks came along) were just a few more of her many activities she enjoyed.

Betty’s true calling in life was to be a mom and this gift of nurturing went beyond her love for her two daughters and on to her grandchildren. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as “Mom” and each was guaranteed to dawn a bright red lip print on their cheek after any visit.

Mom was a woman of style. She loved to dress for family gatherings and always had her signature hats to match. Along with her beautiful appearance she had an amazing attitude. No matter her pain or discomfort Mom would always say that things were perfect if all was well with her family. She always had a joke to tell, but we would never quite hear it all due to her tearful, contagious laughter before its end.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Robyn (Dick) Hansen and Cindy Fish; grandchildren Bryan (Lisa) Hansen, Brent (Jennifer) Hansen, Ryan Fish and, Austyn (Chas) Fournie; great-grandchildren Teighlor, Derek, Morgan, Wyatt and Lillian and special in-laws Tiny and Cliff (Sandy). Betty was preceded in death by many loved ones including her husband Robert (Bob) Teslow and mother Peggy Walker.

Our thanks go out to her many friends, neighbors, and caregivers that helped along the way.

Mom meant so much to so many and will be missed greatly. She left us all with so many memories but most of all she left us all feeling loved. We love you, Mom. Thank you!

A service for family and friends will be held at Guarding Angels Cemetery on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. Sign the online guestbook at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements in care of Kayser’s Chapel.
