MOSES LAKE — Deputies found a body in Moses Lake Saturday morning which is believed to be that of a missing Moses Lake man.

Deputies had been searching for Lionel Pando, 31, of Moses Lake, since his vehicle was found submerged on Thursday near the McConihe Flats area. Searches were called off on Thursday and Friday nights, but Grant County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol deputies reportedly recovered the body Saturday morning near where Pando’s vehicle was found near Road E. 2 Northeast and McConihe Road Northeast.

The Grant County Coroner’s Office will conduct the autopsy to confirm the identity and pinpoint a cause of death. The investigation into the discovery of the body continues.
