Ordinance No. 2855 An ordinance repealing Chapter 2.46 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Tourism Commission" (This summary is published pursuant to RCW 35A.12.160. The full text of the ordinance will be mailed, without charge, to any person upon request.) The Moses Lake City Council adopted an ordinance which eliminates the Tourism Commission. This ordinance, which was passed on January 24, 2017, will take effect and be in force five days after publication. Notice of Funding Available The Washington State Department of Commerce has released a joint application for the Consolidated Homeless Grant (CHG) and the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). Both grants provide resources to assist people who are experiencing homelessness obtain and maintain housing stability. Eligible applicants include city governments, nonprofit community/neighborhood based organizations, housing authorities, and federally recognized Indian tribes in the state of WA. Grant awards resulting from this application will cover the period July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2019. The Application is due to Commerce no later than April 18, 2017. NOTICE: ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT PERMIT MODIFICATION PERMIT NO.: ST0008063 APPLICANT: Port of Moses Lake, Industrial Wastewater Collection System 7810 Andrews Street NE, STE 200, Moses Lake, WA 98837 Ecology is proposing a State Waste Discharge Permit (SWDP) modification in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Chapter 173-216 Washington Administrative Code (WAC). The permit modification will add the following parameters for testing to Section S2.A under influent process wastewater monitoring; CBOD (weekly 24-hour composite sample) and Ammonia (weekly 24-hour composite sample); and change BOD to weekly, all 8-hour composite sampling to 24-hour composite sampling and the sampling location from the lagoon to Randolph lift station. Ecology is issuing a draft amended permit and fact sheet amendment and is only accepting comments on the modified portions. The wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued. A final determination will not be made until all timely comments received in response to this notice have been evaluated.
