Close to 250 jobs coming to Moses Lake
We’ve already burned through the first month of 2017 and there’s big changes on the horizon.
The big news is that WinCo Foods is looking to hire 170 people to operate its new location in Moses Lake. WorkSourceWa.com currently has posts for freight stocker, bulk foods clerk, maintenance clerk, produce clerk, variety stocker and store personnel clerk. From what I can tell, it doesn’t look like they will keep them open for long.
WorkSourceWa.com will be posting the remaining jobs in waves, so keep an eye on the website if you’re interested.
WinCo will be conducting interviews at WorkSource Central Basin at 309 E. Fifth Ave., Suite A in mid-February for a couple of weeks and hopes to open the store sometime around the end of March.
Jobs, jobs, jobs.
Sportsman’s Warehouse is in the process of hiring 50 people. The response to the interview day was out the door. Store manager Bobbi Jo Harris said her management team will sort through the applications and be ready for the grand opening Feb. 23. They didn’t get too specific as to if they were full-time or part-time, but payday in the Columbia Basin is a good thing.
The Colville Fuels Half-Sun Travel Plaza has the lights on at their place off exit 176. It is the third off-reservation business project for the Confederated Tribes of Colville and is expected to open up as many as 30 local jobs.
They are looking to fill positions for store clerks, maintenance, even fill the positions in the San Francisco Sourdough franchise that will serve travelers and locals alike. They are also looking for accountants and other positions, so you might want to keep an eye on the Colville Nation website for update information.
They had initially circled Feb. 13 as their soft opening with a grand opening and ceremony coming in May, but chief operating officer Nathan Moulton said it’s looking closer to the end of the month. The tribe is in the process of gathering resumes and applications. There is a possibility of hiring more as time goes on.
Colville Fuels is working with WorkSource Central Basin here in Moses Lake. Their job fair on Wednesday attracted a high amount of interest as well. The WorkSourceWa.com site has the listings and is handling the application process.
