Jonathon Glen Sterling, 39, went on to be with the Lord in Kent, Wash. on Jan. 18, 2017.
Jonathon was born to Ron Sterling and Loretta (Legault) in Moses Lake, Wash. Feb. 19, 1977 and was the oldest of two children.
Jon (as friends and family called him) grew up in Moses Lake and was always surrounded by people who admired and adored his charismatic personality and unforgettable smile. Jon was never content with the status quo, and led a life that projected his free spirit and drive to live life to its fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman, and grew up spending much of his time splitting firewood with his father, snowboarding, diving, camping, and anything that filled him with challenges and excitement.
Jon was a talented artist and had a unique gift for music and singing. He found a way of expressing his talent through the art of wood carving. He had the ability to turn a raw piece of wood into and beautiful sculpture by visualizing what was hiding within, whether it be an eagle or a mother bear and her cub; he loved the challenge in finding the beauty within. Jon will always be remembered for his outgoing personality, charm, and contagious smile, and will be truly missed by the many people that knew and loved him.
