Gail Lee Bender-Korth

Gail Lee Bender-Korth, kind and generous soul, passed away Monday, Jan. 16 2017. Gail was born Thursday, Nov. 7, 1957 in Wallace, Idaho, to Byron L. Bender and Thelma O. (Case). Her father worked the mines in Grants Pass, N.M. and Silver Valley, Idaho. Byron escaped the Sunshine Mine disaster and they moved to Washington state, eventually making their home in the Yakima Valley where Gail spent her adolescence.
Gail followed her parents in 1979 to Moses Lake. She lived here most of her adult life. She loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and crafts, especially stamping and card making. Her cards were beautiful, desired, and valued by everyone. Her flower gardens were always inspirational. Gail loved all lost souls, especially animals. Her list of saved creatures, including her husband, was impressive. Her heart and soul showed in all the things, though her work will never be done.
She is preceded in death by her son Jeffery L. Razey in 2003, father Byron L. Bender in 1996, mother Thelma O. Bender in 1997, sister Betty L. Gering in 1999, brother Gordon L. Bender in 2015, sister-in-law Jeannette Bender in 1991, mother-in-law Shirley Korth in 2015 and father-in-law Everett Korth in 2006.
She is survived by her loving husband Jeffery W. Korth, Moses Lake, Wash.; son Christopher A. Razey (Marty), Spokane, Wash.; daughter Laura A. Root (Matthew), Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter Rachel Pearl Korth (Michael), Moses Lake, Wash.; grandson Gavin J. Root, Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Mary Ellen Sessions, Biloxi, Miss; brother Gary A. Bender of Yakima, Wash.; brother Edward M. Parren (Claudia) Moses Lake, Wash.; Adele Pavis, Burlinigton, Wis.; brothers-in-law Martin L. Gering (Pam), Ritzville Wash., Kurt Korth (Kendra) Racine Wis. and Mike Korth (Kimberly) Atlanta Ga., and sisters-in-law Eve Degen (Carl), Madison, Wis. and Amy Juric, Ventura, Calif. and many, many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and great-great-nieces.
She is loved and cherished by all. A celebration of life will be held on March 4, 2017. The time and location will be announced at a later date.
