Natividad R. Alvarez

Natividad R. Alvarez, 61, passed away on Jan. 5, 2017 At Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Wash. surrounded by his loving family. Natividad, also known as Big Nat and Boi, was born in Victoria, Texas on Feb. 15, 1955 to Natividad A. Alvarez and Maria R. Alvarez. Big Nat came to Othello, Wash. in 1965 at the age of 10 and remained in Othello until he left the family home. In 1970, he met the love of his life Nereida Jimenez of Moses Lake, Wash. They married in 1973 and moved to Moses Lake where they began their life together and made many friends. In 1978 they were blessed with their first and only son Natividad J. Alvarez. Big Nat worked at Chef-Reddy in Othello, Wash. as a forklift operator and later became a truck driver, which he continued to do until his passing.
Big Nat is survived by his son Natividad Jimenez Alvarez; granddaughter Shyanne Mariah Alvarez (mother Alisha A. Larsen); grandsons Natividad Alexander Alvarez (mother Cassandra Botello) and Omarion Natividad Alvarez (mother Jessica Drummond); siblings Henry Alvarez, MaryLou (Jose) Riojas, Linda (Carmen) Cadengo, Alvida (Juan) Chavez and Augustine (Shanna) Alvarez and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Nereida J. Alvarez, his parents Maria R. Alvarez and Natividad J. Alvarez, his brother Bonifacio Alvarez, his sister Antonia Molina and his sister-in-law Carmen Alvarez.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake, Wash. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at 1 p.m.
