Othello wrestling bounces Ephrata, 58-16

OTHELLO — State-ranked Othello was just too much for Ephrata last week as the Huskies registered a 58-16 victory in CWAC wrestling.

Ephrata had two wins on the mats, at 132 pounds and 170 pounds. It received six points on a forfeit. Othello’s Gage Pruneda took six forfeit points at 138.

The highlights of Othello’s evening were a pin by Reese Jones at 182 over Drew Anderson and an 11-4 decision by Chris Melo over Sammy Flores at 106.

Scoring pins for the Huskies were Jason Rocha at 120, Jeremy Mendez at 126, Asia Villarreal at 152, Bernie Garza at 160, T.J. Martinez at 195, Isaiah Perez at 220 and Chemi Cantu at 285.

Sterling Roylance won, 16-2, at 145 pounds.
