2017 Business License fees due in Othello, Jan. 31

| January 14, 2017 12:00 AM

OTHELLO — The City of Othello will be mailing out second notice reminders for the 2017 business license on Jan. 17 in hopes businesses will not incur additional charges by being late.

“This is a reminder to our business owners that the annual business license fee is due by Jan. 31,” the City’s Rebecca Perez-Ozuna said.

If payment is not received by City Hall by Jan. 31, a delinquency charge of 20 percent will be assessed on Feb. 1. After February, the assessment will rise to 40 percent per month until paid.

The City has the authority to terminate or deny water and sewer service to any property that has a business or occupation failing to pay a current business license fee, Perez-Ozuna said

Perez-Ozuna asks business owners to be sure to advise the City of Othello as soon as possible if they have received an invoice but are no longer in service or will be renewing their license at a later date..

Questions regarding business licenses may be directed to the City Clerk’s office at 488-5686.
