Margaret Jane Hopperstad, 72, of Moses Lake met her Lord and Savior on Jan. 9, 2017. She was at Samaritan Hospital, her family at her side. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Columbarium. After the committal at the Church Columbarium, a reception will be held in the Fatima Center next to the church.

Margaret was born Nov. 15, 1944 in Yakima, Wash. to William Beaudry and Alma Bouchey Beaudry.

She graduated from Prosser High School in 1963 and went to beauty school in Yakima, pursuing that career for many years. Margaret married Richard Hopperstad in 1965. She worked for DSHS in Yakima and Moses Lake for 18 years before retiring in 2000. Her first son Richard, Jr. was born in Fort Hood, Texas on May 3, 1967 and her second son, Ryan was born Oct. 24, 1970 in Yakima, Wash.

Margaret loved spending time with her sons and grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, puzzles, slot machines and just having fun.

She is survived by her sons Richard Lee Hopperstad Jr and Melissa Jarvis of Yakima and Ryan Darel Hopperstad and wife Natalie Hopperstad of Moses Lake; three grandchildren Jayda, Ellie, and Isaiah; sister Delores Schuldolnik of Prosser; brother Larry Beaudry and wife Glenda of West Richland; brother-in-law Blaise Schumacher of West Richland and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She joins in Heaven her loving husband Richard Lee Hopperstad Sr., her sisters Mary Lou Schumacher and Darlene Meara and her loving parents William and Alma Beaudry.
