Moses Lake swim seventh at Kentridge Invite
FEDERAL WAY — Moses Lake boys swim and dive finished seventh out of 43 teams at the Kentridge Invitational — the largest meet before state.
Behind top five performances from Kyle Jorgesen, Ander Molitor and the 200 freestyle relay, Moses Lake totaled 260 points.
Bainbridge Island won going away with 607.50 points and Columbia Basin Big Nine rival Wenatchee amassed 342 points for fourth place.
Jorgensen finished third in the 50 freestyle in 21.78 seconds.
More, Molitor also reached the top five, placing fourth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.2 seconds. Jorgensen reached the top 10 in the 100 freestyle, finishing seventh in 49.5 seconds.
Noah Heaps took ninth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5 minutes, 7.43 seconds; Heaps also took 12th in the 200 freestyle.
Isaiah Zeller was 10th in diving.
Garrett Lake, Dylan Bond and Eric Kemper scored team points with finishes inside the top 24.
Molitor, Ryan Madrishin, Heaps and Jorgensen — the 200 freestyle relay team — clocked a time of 1 minute, 30.2 seconds for second place. The 400 freestyle relay team of Madrishin, Bond, Lake and Kemper took 13th.
Moses Lake resumes its dual meet schedule at Eastmont on Thursday.
