RITZVILLE — A Spokane Valley woman was injured Wednesday after she was ejected out of a vehicle during a rollover near Ritzville.

About 7:35 a.m. Jesus Martinez, 35, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty east on Interstate 90, about six miles west of Ritzville, and reportedly lost control of his vehicle. The Jeep went off the road and rolled. Martinez’s passenger, Jenna Fogelman, 20, of Spokane Valley, was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected out of the Jeep, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Both Martinez and Fogelman were transported to East Adams Rural Hospital in Ritzville for treatment. Fogelman was later airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane via MedStar helicopter for additional treatment.

The patrol reports the cause of the rollover was Martinez speeding too fast for conditions. Martinez was cited for driving with his wheels off the road and not having a valid driver’s license.
