This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, for support of the District's General Fund educational maintenance and operation expenses: Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000 Collection Year Assessed Value Levy Amount 2018 $2.40 $3,050,000 2019 $2.44 $3,200,000 2020 $2.48 $3,350,000 all as provided in Resolution No. 12-12-16. LEVY YES LEVY NO MOSES LAKE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 161 PROPOSITION NO. 1 BONDS TO CONSTRUCT AND RENOVATE SCHOOLS The Board of Directors of Moses Lake School District No. 161 adopted Resolution No. 2016-10 concerning a proposition to relieve overcrowding and improve educationally outdated infrastructure. This proposition would authorize the District to: construct a new second high school; construct a new elementary school; renovate Moses Lake High School; make health safety, security and infrastructure improvements; issue no more than $135,310,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 20 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution No. 2016-10. Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Grant County Elections Office up to and including February 6, 2017.
