Genevieve (Jennie) Ann Foster

| February 22, 2017 2:00 AM

January 13, 1945 – February 7, 2017

Jennie passed away suddenly on Feb. 9, 2017 at Wenatchee Valley Hospital from complications of a difficult surgery. Her husband Allen, son Bill and very special daughter Carmen were at her bedside.

Jennie was born in Ascension Parish, La. to her parents Marie and Bernard Cannata. Her early childhood and grade school years were spent in the New Orleans area. As a teenager she moved to the San Francisco area of California where she attended and completed high school.

On July 27, 1963 she married James Williams and from that marriage son Bill and daughter Kathleen completed the family.

In 1976 she moved to Moses Lake and settled along Crab Creek. This marriage later dissolved and Jennie moved back to California.

Jeannie worked for Payless Drug stores both here in Moses Lake and in California, holding many different positions. She also worked at Moses Lake Clinic Radiology, Porterhouse Steakhouse and the bowling alley.

Jennie loved to travel, quilt, garden, cook, ready, ski, fish and entertain. She never found a flower or a rock she didn’t like.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathleen Williams, great-grandson Ryder Williams and sisters Josephine St. Marie and Bennie Busig.

She is survived by husband Allen and son Bill, both of Moses Lake, and by many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At her request there will be no formal service. A celebration in her honor will be held at a later time.
