Irrigation water will start flowing in late March
OTHELLO — Irrigation water will start flowing into the East Low Canal on March 21, according to East Columbia Basin Irrigation District officials. The East Low Canal serves Moses Lake, Warden and Othello, and the area around Connell in the South Columbia Irrigation District.
Water deliveries from the East Low Canal will begin March 28. Deliveries to Block 49, which gets water from the Potholes East Canal, will be available March 15.
“Irrigation deliveries will be dependent on demand in individual lateral systems,” wrote irrigation district manager Craig Simpson. “Pump plants will be started when orders are sufficient for start-up.” Water users should contact their respective watermaster headquarters or local ditchrider for current schedules and information.
