Golf leagues forming now

ROYAL CITY — The Royal Golf Club has announced that men’s and women’s leagues are being formed now. Play will start on Tuesday, March 14.

There is a one-time fee of $25 for entry into the league. Cost of playing is additional. Prizes at the end of the season are cash payouts.

Matches will be played on Tuesdays, starting at 5 p.m. League play was held on Thursdays last year.

Depending on the number of players, league organizer Shawn Vetterick has a 12-14 week schedule planned. The format will be stroke play with handicaps.

“We can establish a handicap for you if you don’t have one,” Vetterick said.
