Missionaries to speak about their experiences in Mozambique

OTHELLO — Missionaries Eric and Kim Free will share their experiences in Mozambique with the Othello community next Monday, Feb. 20, at the Othello Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

The Free are global missionaries. On furlough from Mozambique, they are traveling the Northwest to share their experiences with local churches.

There will be two presentations, at 12 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The noon presentation will include a light lunch. Dinner will be served at the church from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for anyone interested.

Kim and Erik Free have served with Global Ministries for two and a half years. They serve with the United Church of Christ in Mozambique.

Erik assists by training the youths and elders in the community in conservation agriculture and farming skills to improve food security and self-sustainability.

Kim is training the church community on health care, preventive medical care, HIV/AIDS, literacy and conservation agriculture as well.

This is a joint appointment by the Common Global Ministries Board of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ.
