Moses Lake-Yonezawa Exchange Program taking applications
MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake-Yonezawa Sister City Exchange Program is looking for prospective applicants to participate in one of the longest running sister city student exchange programs in the world.
The program, which has been around for 36 years, has seen 350 Moses Lake and Yonezawa, Japan students, host families and chaperones come and go over the years. Program officials are recruiting Moses Lake students who are currently enrolled in high school to participate in the 2017 program.
Applications for the 2017 exchange are being accepted until Feb. 27, with interviews scheduled to take place in March for students and chaperons. Students, parents, potential chaperons and volunteers are invited to an informational meeting on the program on Monday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at Moses Lake Fire Station No. 1, 701. E. Third Avenue.
